Our East Cross Nursery provides a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers.
Safety and Security
- Check-In/Check-Out System: A clear process with name tags, guardian receipts, and secure pick-up policies.
- Childproofing: Covered outlets, baby gates, secure furniture, and no choking hazards.
- Emergency Preparedness: First-aid kits, emergency contact lists, fire extinguishers, and evacuation plans.
Cleanliness and Hygiene
- Sanitation Supplies: Hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, and a cleaning schedule for toys and surfaces.
- Diapering Area: A clean, well-stocked diaper-changing station with disposable gloves and trash bins.
- Healthy Environment: There is a sick policy in place to reduce the spread of illness.
Age-Appropriate Toys and Activities
- Seating and Sleeping: Rocking chairs, cribs, or pack-and-plays for naps.
- Climate Control: Proper temperature and ventilation for comfort.
- Child-Friendly Decor: Bright, calming colors and welcoming visuals.
Qualified and Loving Staff
- Our Director and several on staff are trained in CPR, first aid, and child care.
- Background checks to ensure safety.
- A warm, patient, and caring attitude toward children and parents.
Communication with Parents
- Clear Policies: Guidelines for feeding, discipline, and emergencies.
- Updates: Sharing how the child did and any incidents that occurred.
Spiritual Nurture
- Soft Christian music, Bible storybooks, or simple prayers.
- Gentle, age-appropriate ways to introduce God’s love.
